About the position

As a Business Development Representative, you will be a key player in shaping Thallo’s growth and impact in the climate solutions sector. You will help us create and implement efficient sales processes for Thallo’s Carbon-as-a-Service product and marketplace, directly contributing to our vision of making carbon markets easier to use, more efficient, and more equitable.


Key challenge(s): 

  • Working with Sales to create and implement processes for a repeatable, successful sales cycle for Thallo’s Carbon-as-a-Service product and Thallo’s marketplace.

  • Supporting the sales team to help land fast-moving, ever-changing sales opportunities.

  • Navigating a complex and evolving market to keep Thallo competitive and informed.

  • Driving new customer acquisition in a crowded market.

  • Building strategic partnerships to scale Thallo’s impact and reach in the carbon market.

  • Adapting to rapid technological changes in the blockchain and climate solutions space.

Tangible deliverable(s):

  • Delivering leads, qualified opportunities and revenue.

  • Supporting Sales with enterprise-grade sales enablement materials: custom decks, case studies, etc.

  • Lists of new sales targets within specific segments for cold outreach.

  • Lists of target events to attend.

  • Maintaining, tracking and reporting of sales opportunities and lead progression in Hubspot.

  • Research and background materials for specific target clients and segments.

  • Supporting Sales to develop comprehensive expansion strategy for new markets or sectors, complete with competitive analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • A list of potential strategic partners for Thallo and initial outreach to these organizations.


What you’ll do:

We are looking for someone to support the sales team as they work to close early deals, particularly of Thallo’s new Carbon-as-a-Service product. This role will include all aspects of sales development, including specific activities listed below.

You are expected to work very closely with the Sales team and report directly to Sales, while ensuring close coordination with Marketing as well.

Specific tasks will include:

  • Supporting development and implementation of sales processes and reporting.

  • Identifying, qualifying, and researching new sales segments/opportunities.

  • Creating materials to support the sales team.

  • Regularly refining the sales funnel for improved conversion rates.

  • Facilitating relationships with key stakeholders to establish and strengthen Thallo’s position in the industry.

  • Participating in sales forecasting and strategy planning.

  • Leading internal product knowledge sessions to ensure team-wide understanding and enthusiasm for Thallo’s offerings.

  • Designing and implementing targeted sales campaigns to generate and convert leads.

  • Cold email outreach and participation in sales calls as needed.

  • Coordinating meetings for the Sales team.

  • Results-Driven: You have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets. You are resilient, persistent and thrive in an environment where your performance is measured by tangible outcomes, and comfortable figuring out creative ways to achieve.

  • Also a plus:

    • Strong background in sales methodologies and CRM software (preferably HubSpot)

    • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

    • Proven experience in identifying and qualifying sales opportunities

    • A knack for creating compelling sales enablement materials

Salary & Benefits:

  • £45,000-55,000 depending on experience

  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + 1 day extra per year of service up to 30 days
